Their Story…

Margaret Roney was a beloved resident at Huron Hospice and gave a gracious donation to the Hospice before she passed. In the words of Margaret’s family:

“As a family, none of us were equipped to have our mom at home with us and we hoped Huron Hospice would be the answer for her...Throughout mom’s stay at the hospice, the staff and volunteers were always so helpful and willing to do anything we or mom asked. The home is beautiful, and our mom was so pleased that she got to experience such a wonderful place. She enjoyed the walks we would take her on outside, visits from the volunteers, the food, and the ever-loving care provided by staff. We were surprised that there was no cost associated with our mom staying at the hospice...Our mom passed away on October 14 with family at her side. We are were so happy that she was able to make this donation while she was with us. As a family, we are forever grateful to the Huron Hospice for the care they provided to our mom.”
