Make Every Day Matter

Although these are challenging days for all of us, Huron Hospice continues to be an essential part of the health care system. Nurses and Physicians provide support to individuals facing a life-limiting illness. Volunteers continue to offer grief support by phone, email, or text.

Generous donations make up half of our revenue. Understandably our fundraising has slowed.

Now more than ever, we need your help.

Would you please consider contributing $1,000 and help us fund ONE day of compassionate services? We invite you to pick one day of the year that is significant to you and donate $1,000 to fund hospice services on that day. Make your gift in memory of a loved one, or as recognition of a special day.

In addition to knowing you are helping to provide compassionate services, you qualify for a charitable tax receipt. You will also receive an exclusive Made In Huron Totebag as thanks for your gift.

2019 would have been the 80th wedding anniversary of Norma and Bob Draper, parents to Cathy Semple who has served on our volunteer board of directors and continues to volunteer her skills and time. In memory of her parents' special day, Cathy has donated $1000 to sponsor a day of care at Huron Hospice. Many thanks to Greg & Kathy O'Reilly for sponsoring a day of care at Huron Hospice, in honour of their respective parents, Lou & Patricia O’Reilly (Greg's parents, married June 18, 1949, first photo), and Frank & Maureen Bruxer (Kathy's parents, married June 18, 1955, second photo). In a remarkable coincidence, both sets of parents were married on the same calendar day, June 18. To honour this special day for their parents, Kathy & Greg have chosen to sponsor a day of care at Huron Hospice.
